Why do I want to be a teacher?

In elementary school I never felt very motivated to try very hard in schoolwork.  Until 6th grade when I had an amazing teacher who finally got through to me.  I realized that I wanted to be a teacher just like her.  I want to teach in a way that students can actually enjoy learning.  By using more than just worksheets.  There are games, songs, and activities that can make a larger impact on students and help them really understand what is being taught.  I want my classroom to be one where students are so excited to come in because they want to learn.  I also want students to have some control in the classroom and be a part of their learning process.
